“A River for the People: A Public Access Plan for the Lower Passaic River” is PRC’s main planning document for adressing the potential for improved public access and recreational experiences along the east bank of New Jersey’s Passic River from the Town of Harrison to the City of Garfield. It also evaluates the river’s potential to drive economic devleopment in adjacent communities. The purpose of this plan is to improve water access and enjoyment in a manner that benefits the long-term sustainability of river towns by providing improvements to the environment, economy, and quality of life.
